Once again, We Are FaceFood, the international gastronomic meeting in Ibiza, is back. The most awaited event by the professionals of the Horeca sector of the Pitiusas, a meeting point between some of the best premium brands of the moment, restaurateurs, chefs, hotel and restaurant owners. The sixth edition of 'We are FaceFood Ibiza', an unmissable gastronomic event for professionals in the sector, will take place next Friday 15th March from 11am to 6pm at the Agroturismo Atzaró Hotel & Spa.

Founded and organised by FaceFoodMag, sponsored by Estrella Damm, co-sponsored by Moët Hennessy, Balfegó and El Encinar de Humienta and with a great collaborator S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, the event holds a new edition and has consolidated itself as the main gastronomic event of the Ibiza and Formentera restaurant industry, which for the last five years has officially kicked off the season in the Pitiusas.

And as usual at WAFF, the day will be full of learning, new developments and networking, it will be a meeting forum for hotel and catering and tourism professionals and will be highlighted by the presentations of the different chefs attending the event, as well as the refuted professionals associated with the sector.

A programme full of suns and stars

Renowned chefs, journalists and important businessmen from the gastronomy sector will be in charge of leading the different presentations, showcookings and workshops that, as every year, will delight the attendees.

To be precise, We Are Facefood Ibiza 2024 will bring together 11 Michelin stars and 17 Repsol suns, who will share their experiences and knowledge with all those attending. Some of the most prominent faces in the programme of activities for this year's edition are Paco Roncero (Paco Roncero Restaurant, 2 Michelin stars and 3 Repsol suns); Antonio Belotti (Casa 887, San Sebastián), Ignacio Echapresto (Venta Moncalvillo, La Rioja, 2 Repsol suns, 2 Michelin stars and one green Michelin star); Rafa Zafra and Ricardo Acquista (Estimar Madrid, 2 Repsol suns; Estimar Barcelona, 2 Repsol suns; and Jondal Ibiza, 1 Repsol sun); Walter Sidoravicius (Omakase by Walt, Ibiza, one Michelin star and one Repsol sun); Filipe Carvalho (Jncquoi, Lisbon), Víctor Jardim (Kabuki Lisboa, 1 Michelin star), Óscar Molina (La Gaia & Ibiza Gran Hotel, Ibiza, 1 Michelin star and 2 Repsol suns); Álvaro Sanz (Es Tragón, Ibiza, 2 Repsol suns, 1 Michelin star and one green Michelin star); Paco Budía (Etxeko Ibiza by Martín Berasategui, Ibiza, 1 Michelin star and 1 Repsol sun) and David Grussautte, Unic restaurant, Ibiza, with one Michelin star).

In addition, the event will feature several showcookings sponsored and run by Balfegó with chefs Mauro Rivas Aviles and Armand Vidal Marti (from Sol Post restaurant in Formentera) among others.

On the other hand, as is usual every year at this event, stands of gastronomic products will be set up in the gardens of the Agroturismo Atzaró, where more than forty premium brands will offer tastings and will be able to present their new products to the attendees.

Estrella Damm will be present at this sixth event as the official sponsor of the event. In addition, We Are FaceFood will have Balfegó, Möet Hennessy and El Encinar de Humienta as co-sponsors of the event. And as special collaborators S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.

In addition, the sixth edition of We are Facefood has the support of other top-level collaborators, such as Ayuntamiento de Santa Eularia des Riu, Consell d´Eivissa, Ayuntamiento de Sant Antoni de Portmany, Caser, Terrenauto, Atzaró, THB Hoteles, XPepper, Gin Raw and Klimer,  among others.

 

Participants

WAFF24 Ibiza will be attended by more than forty companies that are closely related to the hotel, restaurant and catering industry and are leaders in their segment. Therefore, in the "drinks" section, many of the leading brands and distributors in the international, national and local sector will be present, such as Moët Hennessy, Be Drinks, Gin Raw, Vino & Co, Bodegas Oissät, Sogas Mascaró, Ron Don Papa, Vi Enology, Estrella Damm, Vermut Dos Deus, S. Pellegrino, Acqua Panna, Gimber, Café Meke, Agua KM0… amongst others.

The gardens of the Agroturismo Atzaró will also be attended by representatives and manufacturers of industrial equipment for the hotel, restaurants and catering industry, such as Josper, Internacional Cooking Conceps or Gasifred, will also feature the leading company in the catering equipment sector Klimer,  as well as The hotel and catering uniform company XPepper.

Among the select group of seafood suppliers who will be attending the event are Balfegó, Aquanaria, Artic Crab, Zar Imperial, MarConil, Alaska SeaFood, Plancton Marino, Prodemar, Consuelo & Pardalet, Anchoas Agur, Plancton Marino, Bamberry Foods, Bacalao El Barquero…

Other companies that have confirmed their attendance to the event are Triticum, specialist bread company; Caviaroli specialists in oil spherifications; Mammafiore with its Italian products; Koppert Cress, company dedicated to sprouts; Aceite Castillo de Canena specialising in oil; Sandro Desii which arrives with Italian ice cream and pasta; Innovachef, manufacturers and distributors of quality gastronomy; Iberconseil, cheese specialists; El Hencinar de Humienta, meat specialists; Gourmet Ibérica dedicated to hams; Hermanos Meneghello, distributor of Japanese, Italian and sea food products; Valrhona with their chocolates  and Aroma's with food products packaged in small cans, among others.
