When Bedrinks was founded, almost a ten years ago, with one clear objective: to develop the best portfolio and support for its clients in the Pityusic Islands.
A few years later, the company has succeeded in positioning itself as the most important wine and spirits distributor in Ibiza and Formentera. Hard work, dedication and a different, modern way of tackling challenges and adapting to the islands’ changing market have spearheaded the company’s strategy and it now has a continuously growing portfolio of over 3,000 drinks.
New drinks for the 2023 catalogue
Bedrinks has one of the largest Wine, Champagne and Spirits catalogues in the Balearic Islands. It’s the exclusive distributor of Moët Hennessy (Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Ruinart, Krug, Dom Perignon), Amer Global Brands, Clase Azul, Heineken and an official distributor of important multinationals such as Bacardi Limited, Beam Suntory and Diageo.
Its portfolio also includes a wide variety of wines from the finest Spanish and international wineries and denominations of origin.
This year, exciting new labels to be added to the Spanish wine section of BeDrink’s catalogue include Xarel·los by Bodega Can Vallès, and Ribera de Dueros by wineries such as Carmelo Rodero, Francisco Barona and Ausàs. Bedrinks is also expanding its Old World Wineries section this year, and now includes internationally prestigious wines produced by the Gianfranco Fino, Di Meo and Roccolo Grassi wineries, while a large range of Petit Vigneron champagnes are being added to the already wide selection of wines by the great châteaux of Bordeaux.
Not only that, Bedrinks has added wines from countries further afield to its New World Wineries section, including new labels from Australia, New Zealand, Chile, the US, Mexico, South Africa and Uruguay.
Another of the Ibizan distributor’s strong points is its extensive range of Mexican spirits. It has one of the largest catalogues in the Balearic Islands of tequila, mezcal, sotol and raicilla, and this section has recently been updated to include the first Contraluz cristalino mezcal (a totally artisanal mezcal made from maguey espadin) and Nocheluna sotol (a Mexican spirit made from the wild Dasylirion plant, grown in the deserts of northern Mexico).
Store in the centre of Ibiza
This year, Bedrinks’ ever-enterprising management announced that a store will open in July on Avinguda de Santa Eulària in the centre of Ibiza Town, opposite the harbour station. This store will be aimed at the end consumer and will be a physical space where Bedrinks can display and showcase much of its portfolio, present new additions to its catalogue and hold all kinds of activities.
BEday 2023: an event for Bar&Beverage professionals from Ibiza and Formentera
BEday 2023 was held in the Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza on 31 March and 1 April. For the third year, BEday, a convention run by Bedrinks for Bar&Beverage professionals, became an unmissable date in the calendar for the hospitality sector in Ibiza and Formentera. And it has the figures to prove it: 25 spirits stands, a large number of events and masterclasses, over 100 participating wineries, 1,200 products exhibited and over 1,000 visitors show that BEday has clearly established itself as the most important convention for hospitality professionals who want to be up to date with the latest trends in an ever-changing market.
