This family company, run by Diego Chacón and his son Iván, has succeeded in consolidating its position as a benchmark in the Balearic market through industriousness and a commitment to excellence. The Carnes Diego story began in 1998 when Diego and his wife opened their first stand in Mercat Nou in Ibiza. Since then, the butcher’s has seen constant growth, driven by an ethos that sees it focus its full attention on quality and customer service.

Carnes Diego has been a family business since it began. Diego, with the unconditional support of his wife, embarked on his business adventure with the firm belief that he could offer clients the finest meat products available. Iván joined the business later, bringing with him fresh ideas and innovative approaches. This cross-generational collaboration has been key to the company’s development and expansion, and has meant Carnes Diego has maintained its place at the forefront of the sector.

The path hasn’t always been easy, but their perseverance and hard work have more than paid off. The early years were particularly challenging, with days that often seemed endless. Happily, it was all worth the effort. Demand for their products grew rapidly and the market butcher’s stall suddenly seemed too small. The company expanded, opening a second shop, and Carnes Diego transformed into an essential supplier to many of the best hotels and restaurants in Ibiza.

Carnes Diego has two strategically located shops so that its products are within easy reach of individual customers. The first is in the heart of Ibiza Town, in Carrer de Fra Vicent Nicolau, 27. This shop has an innovative, modern design and stands out for its cleanliness and transparency, two aspects that both Diego and Iván consider to be essential. The second shop is in San Carlos in the SUMA supermarket on Carretera de Sant Carles, Km 12, 500. Both shops offer a unique shopping experience where customers can appreciate the quality of the products and are given a personalised service.
