We Are FaceFood, the international gastronomic event, holds its first edition in Mallorca

From Ibiza and Lisbon to Palma de Mallorca. We Are Facefood, the most famous international gastronomic event in Ibiza and Portugal, arrives in Mallorca with a programme full of activities and conferences by great chefs and professionals from the horeca industry. An unparalleled opportunity to learn about all the latest news and trends in gastronomy and catering worldwide from some of the most renowned faces in the gastronomic world.

Gastronomic trends and innovations and Mallorca's position on the international gastronomic map will be the main themes of this first edition of We Are FaceFood. Created and organised by FaceFoodMag, sponsored by Estrella Damm, co-sponsored by Balfegó, Moët Hennessy and Distribucions Túnel Mercavinos and as a special collaborator S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, the event celebrates its first edition in Mallorca with a lot of enthusiasm to create a networking environment among the entrepreneurs of the sector on the island.

The gastronomic event will take place on 5 March from 11am to 6pm at Nobis Hotel Palma and will bring together 10 Michelin stars and 14 soles Repsol 

The day, which will be full of learning, news and networking, will provide a meeting for hotel and catering and tourism professionals and will be highlighted by the speeches of the different chefs who will be attending, as well as the refuted professionals connected with the sector.

To whet your appetite: a full programme of activities

From 11 a.m. onwards, the doors will open for guest registration and throughout the day there will be a series of speeches and workshops by leading professionals from the industry. Specifically, the first edition of We Are Facefood Mallorca will count on talks by Aitor Arregi (Elkano, Gipuzkoa and Guethary, Mallorca, 1 Michelin star and 3 Repsol suns); Pepe Solla (Casa Solla, Pontevedra, 1 Michelin star and 3 Repsol suns); Andreu Genestra (Andreu Genestra restaurant and Aromata restaurant, Mallorca, 1 Michelin star, 1 green Michelin star and 1 Repsol sun); Marc Fosh (Marc Fosh restaurant, Mallorca, 1 Michelin star and one Repsol sun); Álvaro Salazar (Voro restaurant, Mallorca, 2 Michelin stars and 2 Repsol suns); Jaume Vicens and Benet Vicens, father and son of Béns d'Avall restaurant, Mallorca, awarded one Michelin star, one Michelin green star and 2 Repsol suns; and Ana Jiménez of Quimera restaurant, Formentera (1 Repsol sun).

In addition, the event will feature several show cookings by chefs Javier Hoëbeeck (Fusión19 restaurant, Mallorca, 1 Michelin star), David Moreno (Can Simoneta, 1 Repsol sun), Jonay Hernández, from La Vieja Gastronomía and Bernabé Caravotta, from the restaurants Vandal and Santa, Mallorca.    

On the other hand, inside Nobis Hotel Palma there will be different stands of gastronomic products where the brands will be able to present all their new products to the visitors.

First-rate sponsors

Estrella Damm will be present at this first meeting as an official sponsor of the event. In addition, We Are FaceFood will have Balfegó, Möet Hennessy and Distribucions Túnel Mercavinos as co-sponsors of the event. And S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panna as collaborators.

WAFF24 Mallorca will feature more than 30 companies closely linked to the hotel and restaurant sector that are leaders in their segment. In terms of beverages, many leading, international, national and local brands and distributors will be participating, such as Moët Hennessy, Distribucions Túnel Mercavinos, San Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, Estrella Damm, Gin Raw, Ca´del Bosco, Vi Enology, Redivins, Bodegas Suau,…

Nobis Hotel Palma will also enjoy the presence of representatives and producers of industrial machinery, such as Josper, as well as the participation of Klimer, a leading company in the supply of tableware for restaurants and catering.

And in the large and select group of seafood suppliers attending the event, we will find brands such as Balfegó, Aquanaria, Artic Crab, Zar Imperial, MarConil, Alaska SeaFood, Plancton Marino, Saqua,..  

Other companies that have confirmed their attendance at the event include Triticum,  specialist bread company; Caviaroli specialists in oil spherifications; Mammafiore with its Italian products;  Koppert Cress, a company dedicated to sprouts; Aceite Castillo de Canena; Sandro Desii which arrives with Italian ice cream and pasta; Innovachef, manufacturers and distributors of quality gastronomy;  Beef on Food, Wagyu beef experts; Ponthier producers of fruit and vegetable purees and coulis;  y Fisan, dedicated to cured hams.
