Terruja Restaurant
The Terruja restaurant project is Portuguese and more than that, it is from Aire and Candeeiros.
Its main pillar is to promote what is good in this region and reinvent what has been lost over time. Values local products/producers and the surrounding nature.
Terruja aims to express the new Portuguese gastronomic culture, reflecting the history and roots of its location, integrating international cuisine, with influences from the Municipality's tradition.
The objective is to take the heritage of Serra de Aire and Candeeiros, add value, make it dynamic and, at the same time, show its people, culture and DNA. With a concept of signature cuisine, supported by tradition and geographical location, Terruja is much more than a restaurant, with a gastronomic proposal that goes far beyond a meal.
Chef and owner Diogo Caetano founded Terruja with the intention of being an extension of his dining room in his hometown. He created an intimate restaurant here, which provides a very close relationship with those who visit it.
This return home is a tribute to the place where he was born and raised.
