Opened in the summer of 2022, in the heart of the Príncipe Real neighborhood, Pica-Pau has won the appreciation over locals and foreign visitors with its honest take on traditional Portuguese food.  With chef Luís Gaspar at the helm, this is a Portuguese restaurant that relies on local and high-quality products, that arrive us by the rhythm of the seasons.  

On the menu, you'll find emblematic dishes such as Bacalhau à Brás or Bochechas de Porco Alentejano (Alentejo pork cheeks), including Pica-Pau, a regular on the menu of Portuguese snacks which gives the restaurant its name. The Dish of the Day offers national classics on a fixed day, such as Arroz de Cabidela, Bacalhau à Minhota, or Roast Lamb with Oven Rice.
