Sa Caleta Restaurant
Sa Caleta is a restaurant with a terrace with wonderful views of the beach of Es Bol Nou. The quality, the surroundings, the good price and service and the tradition in the preparation of its dishes make Sa Caleta an essential place in Ibiza. It is also one of the few beach restaurants that is open all year round.
Sa Caleta, open since June 1988, is open 365 days a year. Run by the Pujolet family, descendants of fishermen, it offers traditional seafood cuisine with local and organic produce, especially from their Can Puvil land. Sa Caleta is committed to Km0 and local produce, local fishermen are its suppliers and the vegetables come from its own farm run by the family.
It offers traditional Mediterranean cuisine specialising in fresh fish, rice dishes and seafood. Its star dishes include bullit de peix, lobster stew, lobster with garlic and fried eggs, and baked fish such as roe or dentex. We cannot forget their homemade desserts such as almond biscuit - roasted by themselves - with hot dark chocolate or Flaó.
To end the experience and enjoy the after-dinner drink, you must try the original and authentic Café Caleta, made with brandy, sugar, orange and lemon. A recipe invented by Pep Pujolet, a fisherman in the 1950s and grandfather of the current owner, Jordi Cardona. This recipe has been passed down from generation to generation and has become popular in other restaurants in Ibiza, although Sa Caleta’s is undoubtedly the original.
It is open from 9:00 to 24:30, from breakfasts facing the sea to dinners under the stars. Its garden among pines and savines is a place for massages, cocktails, gastronomy and cultural activities such as music, art and dance.
Nearby are the first Phoenician settlement on Ibiza, the picturesque fishing port of Sa Caleta and the seaside spot of Es Bol Nou.
