At Can Limo restaurant they are excited to be celebrating 10 seasons and this year, we have received the ‘Repsol Recommended’ award. We are deeply grateful to our loyal customers and of course, to our team, our little family that makes it all possible.
Since it opened in 2015, Can Limo has been famous for offering innovative and surprising food with a commitment to fresh, quality produce. It uses local, seasonal ingredients that are always supplied by local producers, and has vegetarian and vegan options. Its dishes are inspired by Peruvian fusion cooking and have an Asian twist within the Can Limo style. Can Limo takes great care over every detail of the restaurant, including the tableware, linen and decoration.
As a Peruvian based restaurant, although we import some products, we source most of them locally. We work closely with organic farms such as Can Puvil to get Ficoide Glacial, and with the fishermen's cofradia of San Antonio for fish and Ibicencan red shrimp.
Their kitchen is open all day for 10 months and they prioritise seasonality and the quality of our products, such as red tuna from the Almadraba in May and oysters selected according to the season. This allows them to complement our historic menu with daily suggestions such as red prawns prepared at the table, pickled sardines, mackerel crunchy nikkei, seabed with glacial ficoide, clams and kale in tempura and our famous ‘callos con manitas’ (tripe with trotters), depending on the season. They also make seven types of homemade bread every week, using high quality flours.
And to end on a high note, make sure you try the delicious desserts, including cold white chocolate soup with caramel-coated almonds, and the fantastic suspiro limeño, a traditional Peruvian dessert. Naturally, we could not miss the Peruvian Pisco, a drink distilled from Peruvian grapes, which makes it the perfect base for our cocktails.
