Casbah Formentera was born from the vision of Juan Vicente Boned and his family to create a unique and welcoming destination. Nestled in the heart of Formentera, in a totally Mediterranean setting, where the sea merges with the pine trees and the silence tastes of salt and earth, you will find a unique place to enjoy good cuisine and a relaxed and cozy atmosphere.
At the centre of the experience is a cuisine with a distinctive identity, shaped by Martina Cacheiro, who has led the kitchen since the very beginning. Today, she remains one of the few female chefs leading a gastronomic restaurant on the island.
The gastronomic offer of Casbah is characterised by its freshness and joy, it is a combination of product, tradition, creativity, technique and passion for cooking, it is the perfect union between the essence of local product and tradition with nods to contemporary cuisine and to Galicia, the homeland of its chef Martina Cacheiro Alonso. At her side, Rubén Sánchez Pulleiro translates that essence into experience, with a serene and generous presence that turns every dinner into a moment to remember.
The excellent balance between the best meats and fish, a carefully selected range of starters and an exquisite variety of homemade desserts make up Casbah's cuisine. It is important to highlight its wine cellar with a wide variety of wines by the glass and bottle.
The experience is completed by a front-of-house team that understands hospitality as an art of caring. Led by Giorgia Roth, the team brings warmth, professionalism and a genuine attention to detail. Alongside her, our sommelier Manuel Solís, recently recognised as one of Spain’s finest sommeliers, contributes his expertise, sensitivity and carefully curated wine selection.
Together, they form a perfectly balanced partnership, working towards a shared purpose: making every guest feel truly special.
