Alma, a signature cuisine restaurant, offers a casual and yet sophisticated vibrant ambiance. it was the first project in his own name by Henrique Sá Pessoa, in partnership with Plateform de Rui Sanches, one of the greatest Portuguese restaurateurs.
In 2016, the chef managed to win his first Michelin star, even before celebrating the restaurant's first anniversary. The second star arrived in 2018, with ALMA achieving the unprecedented feat in Portugal of reaching its second star in just three years, a distinction reinforced again in 2022. Chef Henrique Sá Pessoa was recently considered the 38th best chef in the world in the Top100 The Best Chef Awards.

and excellent products. The menu, which includes two tasting options, is proof of this philosophy. Alma’s menu reveals the restaurant’s identity, with the chef’s four selected dishes – a deeper plunge into the soul of Alma. The Costa a Costa menu, a homage to our coast’s fish and shellfish, is the link to the sea. For the more undecided clients, there are options à la carte. “At Alma we endeavour to serve more than just a meal: we serve emotions, identity, know-how. Ultimately, we endeavour to create a kitchen with depth, which is also a consequence of our experience,” says Chef Henrique Sá Pessoa.
