Four vintages, four hands: Pepe Vieira and Fernando Pérez Arellano team up at Zaranda with Dom Pérignon

Four vintages, four hands: Pepe Vieira and Fernando Pérez Arellano team up at Zaranda with Dom Pérignon

On October 22, 2026, Palma de Mallorca will host one of the season’s most unmissable culinary events. Restaurant Zaranda opens its doors for a truly unique evening where the expertise of two exceptional chefs seamlessly blends with four iconic Dom Pérignon vintages.

When two culinary talents of this caliber join forces, the result is pure magic. Fernando Pérez Arellano (one Michelin star at Zaranda) plays host to Galician chef Pepe Vieira (two Michelin stars). Together, they have orchestrated a 10-course tasting menu that goes far beyond a conventional four-hands dinner: it is an authentic dialogue between their culinary philosophies, featuring dishes created entirely from scratch specifically for this night.

An experience in motion

Designed to break away from traditional static dining, the evening promises to be dynamic and deeply sensory. The journey begins with a warm welcome in the bar area before moving into the true heart of the restaurant: the kitchen. There, just inches from the guests, Fernando and Pepe will prepare two signature dishes live—one from each chef. Following this intimate showcooking experience, guests will be guided to Zaranda’s elegant dining room for the remainder of the menu.

Champagne as the starting point

Here lies the real twist: Champagne isn't just an afterthought or a secondary pairing to pre-existing dishes. The entire menu was conceived around the character of the wines themselves. The evening’s narrative unfolds through Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015, 2017, and 2018, culminating in the showstopping Dom Pérignon Rosé 2010.Four distinct profiles and stages of evolution served as the creative blueprint for the menu from day one.

True to the iconic Maison’s philosophy, each vintage is an unyielding testament to a single harvest. This relentless pursuit of harmony, paired with years of patient maturation in the dark of the cellars, provided the ideal spark for four hands to work toward a shared vision.
