The magic begins long before the first bite. For Fabrizio Giunta and Kevin John Becker, it all begins when a space—an estate, a cove, a historical building—becomes the setting for an unrepeatable gastronomic experience. For more than a decade, the duo has taken haute cuisine out of the restaurant, specialising in catering services. In 2011, they teamed up with Michelin-starred chef Marc Fosh to found Fosh Catering, a company that has redefined the concept of gastronomy for events in the Balearic Islands. And in 2022, they added a new project to the group: Tast Out Events & Catering, in collaboration with Ramón Andreu’s Tast Group. Two brands, two different concepts, with the same philosophy: excellence, personalisation and cuisine with soul.

Fosh Catering: haute cuisine brought to events

Elegance, avant-garde and meticulous attention to detail define Fosh Catering, one of the most established catering firms in the events sector in the Balearic Islands. From intimate celebrations to large weddings and sizeable corporate events, its name has become synonymous with reliability and high culinary standards.

“Fosh Catering has few other competitors on the island. Our line follows Marc’s food, with first-class produce, very elaborate techniques and constant R+D. We look for complexity, a play of textures, combinations of flavours and presentation at the level of a Michelin-starred restaurant”.

This ambition translates into impressive figures: more than 350 events per year, a team of more than 50 qualified professionals—between kitchen and service—and a very high level of demand from customers and from themselves. “Every small change requested by the client must be executed with precision. That means ‘surgical' planning: sometimes we work with up to 80 cooks simultaneously”.

The food on offer is brimming with an avant-garde Mediterranean style, featuring dishes that are invariably prepared with fresh, natural and recently cooked produce. “Each service is like setting up a restaurant from scratch, but in places as different as an isolated cove, a historical estate, a museum or a cave. Wherever the client’s dreams take them, that’s where we go”, he explains.

In addition to locals, Marc Fosh Catering has established itself as a market leader for high-end international clients. “Mallorca has become a very coveted destination for weddings and private celebrations. Today we have clients from Australia, the United States and all over Europe who come here exclusively to celebrate their event with us”.

 

Tast Out: tradition with a contemporary soul

As a result of the collaboration with the Tast Group, in 2022 Tast Out Events & Catering was founded with a concept that stays true to the professionalism of its founders with the added business experience of Ramón Andreu, a leading figure in the Mallorcan catering industry. With its own identity, Tast Out is committed to contemporary Spanish cuisine that combines the essence of tradition with the nuances of modernity. “It’s food that excites without losing   the traditional flavours,” explains Giunta.

Its versatility is one of its great virtues: committed to serving both individuals and companies, Tast Out offers solutions for all types of celebrations, from private parties to corporate events, gala dinners or openings. The food adapts elegantly to different contexts, always with careful presentation and impeccable execution.

Tast Out’s cuisine is based on seasonal and local produce, treated with creativity, respect and a contemporary vision. “We want customers to feel like they are enjoying food with soul. We want them to see a dish and recognise the traditional flavours but with a modern twist”, he adds. Its sustained growth confirms that another way of catering is possible: approachable, honest, casual and deeply Mediterranean.

“Over time, the idea is for Tast Out to grow in volume while Fosh Catering sticks to more exclusive events”, notes Giunta. “We have reached a point where our structure allows us to serve both lines without losing quality or identity. And that is key: knowing how to differentiate each brand, respecting its soul and always offering the best of ourselves”.

Both options benefit from the prestige of their associated brands—Marc Fosh and Grupo Tast—but their true value lies in the talent and dedication of a team that has elevated catering to a category of its own. More than an extension of the restaurant, they have created a gastronomic universe that unfolds wherever it is needed, with technique, sensitivity and absolute dedication to detail.
