In the Los Felices hotel, in Cala de Bou, we discovered a gem for coeliacs — and everyone else: Bambola di Grosso Napoletano. Created by GROSSO — the Best Handcrafted Gluten-free Pizza according to 50 Top Pizza — and Concept Hotel Group, this has become a flagship establishment serving gluten-free pizza that combines perfect craftsmanship and sophistication, something few achieve in such a natural way.

Los Felices, in common with every other Concept Hotel Group creation, is a groundbreaking universe, with a mid-century aesthetic inspired by the Californian Palm Springs desert and a clear concept: fashion. With this declaration of intent — and the blast of colour that greets you as you step into the hotel, which is more like a film set than a hotel — the restaurant needs to live up to expectations. And what could be more timeless than a good handcrafted pizza?

The concept of Bambola offers a sophisticated balance between serving one of the finest gluten-free Neapolitan pizzas and accompanying it with a solid cocktail menu, an apt combination for everyone. Whether you’re there with friends, as a couple or as a family, Bambola is a foolproof option for summer evenings.

Pizza Pomo d'Oro

Open only for evening meals, Bambola welcomes local residents as well as hotel guests, and is also available for room service. Every Wednesday it offers a fun bingo session, which this year is hosted by Arturo Laso, a multi-talented artist who is there to make summer evenings rock.

The symbiosis between Grosso Napoletano and the Concept Hotel Group springs from a clear gap on the island: the lack of properly certified, handcrafted, gluten-free pizza. This is a particularly urgent need for Diego Calvo, the group’s CEO, whose daughter is coeliac: “It’s really difficult to find places that are free of cross-contamination. For us it was non negotiable to create a space that had character and was 100% safe”.

Bambola also boasts exclusive, customised tableware designed by the multidisciplinary artist Miranda Makaroff, one of the elements that makes Los Felices’ fashion-art-gastronomy tie-in more tangible.

This is an establishment where the design, the cuisine and the entertainment find their exact point of equilibrium while you enjoy one of the most delicious gluten-free pizzas on the island.
