Teranka Garden Restaurant, a Journey of Flavors

Located in the garden porch of Teranka Formentera Hotel, Teranka Garden reopens this season with a unique gastronomic concept that combines familiar, seafaring, traveled, simple, and sophisticated cuisine with strong roots in the land of Formentera and the Balearic Islands. The essence of Teranka Garden lies in the simplest pleasures - connection to nature, good company, and pure yet surprising flavors.

Set by the sea and surrounded by pines and junipers, Teranka Formentera has become a culinary destination where authentic island flavours shine with simplicity, creativity, and locally sourced ingredients. Under the direction of chef José Carlos Sánchez and consultant chef John Skotidas, the cuisine blends Mediterranean, Asian and South American influences into vibrant, shareable dishes.

Teranka Garden is committed to promoting sustainability and supporting local producers. Their suppliers are carefully selected, prioritizing locally sourced ingredients from Formentera, Ibiza, and even Mallorca, such as the prestigious 'porc negre' (black pig).

The restaurant, nestled among a pine forest and just a few steps from the sea, is located on the ground floor of the hotel and consists of two areas - the covered porch with wooden tables, shades of green, and a Chef's Table for showcooking dinners - and a sand area, complete with Italian-style communal tables, a central bar for cocktail lovers, and relaxation zones with natural awnings for those seeking a leisurely afternoon before heading up to the Rooftop for the sunset.

The Rooftop offers seasonal crudos, tapas and handcrafted cocktails with sweeping views and live DJ sets from Friday to Sunday — the perfect setting for sunset lovers. Nestled in the heart of the property, the Teranka Garden draws inspiration from the elements —sea, land and sky— to create a relaxed al fresco dining experience among wildflowers, long communal tables and dappled shade. A curated live music programme enhances the atmosphere from Wednesday to Sunday, accompanying starlit dinners  starlit dinners.
