Always on the lookout for new wines and sakes, the Vino&Co team has a clear mission: to carve out its own niche at the forefront of new trends in the gastronomic world. It's a never-ending journey of discovery. Organic, biodynamic, and natural wines are the aim of the Vino&Co team's constant quest for innovation, whose know-how goes far beyond the sector’s clichés: you know, the typical “white wines with fish, and red wines with meat”...
Vino&Co is a family business, headed by Jeroen Hamersma, the driving force of this business created in 2009 “out of pure necessity”, and unconditional love for wine, of course. A necessity because, at the time, for Jeroen, the selection of wine shops on the island didn't cater to his insatiable curiosity, as they often focused exclusively on classic wineries and big brands. With the world of wine being so vast, Jeroen made it his mission to bring the people of Ibiza those little gems in the form of wines from smaller wineries, lesser-known regions, and other grape varieties...

At first, it was mainly individuals who came through the doors of Vino&Co but, little by little, curiosity among restaurant professionals also grew, who flocked to this small sanctuary dedicated to wine, intrigued by the challenging and provocative new products that Jeroen and his team brought to Vino&Co.
In 2014, the Vino&Co shop underwent a major refurbishment, doubling in size. That's when Jeroen's daughter Rosa came into play, and her sister Bette recently joined the team as well. Bette, who previously worked as a sommelier in several restaurants and wine shops in Amsterdam, has enhanced Vino&Co's product portfolio by adding some very interesting wineries. Her aim is to share her passion for the world of wine with anyone interested in it.
Rosa, on the other hand, specialises in the world of sake. A product that several years ago crossed the borders of her native Japan and is becoming increasingly fashionable in Mediterranean destinations such as Ibiza, due to the rise of Asian and fusion cuisine. “Umami” is a word that is very much part of the culinary lingo these days. The question Rosa asks herself is, what kind of sake?
It’s a match!
Vino&Co's mission is to taste and select wines that not only go well with dishes, but are able to elevate them to the highest level to make them shine. For each restaurant, Jeroen and his team carry out a thorough study of its menu and gastronomic concept, in order to select a wine list that perfectly matches its offer. A tasting is carried out with the restaurant's head waiter or sommelier and/or the chef, ensuring that the pairing is simply perfect. The style of the restaurant, the type of customer, and the location are other factors that Vino&Co takes into consideration when creating the wine list for each restaurant. In addition, training activities and tastings are carried out with the teams at each restaurant, which translates in the medium term into an increase and optimisation of sales, as the staff have a profound knowledge of the product they sell and, therefore, are able to provide their customers with a better experience. In addition, Vino&Co also makes its space available to chefs and restaurateurs, who can use it for their own events or show cooking.

It’s worth mentioning that the wine tastings organised by the Vino&Co team aren't just for professionals. Individual customers, lovers of the wonderful world of wine, can also book tastings for their group of friends, and can enjoy the tasting at Vino&Co's premises or in their own home. Spanish wines, international wines, natural wines, small wineries, sakes, liqueurs, and more... Let the experts at Vino&Co surprise you with this incredible world!
