Bless Hotel Ibiza: paradise on earth

Five years ago, after a major refurbishment to transform it into a five-star hotel, Bless Hotel Ibiza opened on the eastern side of the island, in Cala Nova, in the municipality of Santa Eulària des Riu. Surrounded by wild nature, the heavenly location without a doubt reminds you of the kind of islands you see in films that we would all like to end up on after a shipwreck.

The hotel’s 151 rooms and suites, decorated with exquisite taste, the extensive dining options available at Bless, which features several restaurants including Etxeko Ibiza*, by Martín Berasategui, and its unbeatable location, looking out onto one of the most magnificent coves on the White Isle, where the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean lap at the shore, make Bless Ibiza a true paradise on earth from which you will find it hard to escape.

A gourmet hotel

Bless Ibiza’s commitment to food is unquestionable. The hotel has several gastronomy spaces where both guests and the general public are welcome. “The customers who come to the hotel do so because of the hotel and its amazing location, but, above all, because of the magnificent food we offer”, says Raúl Gutiérrez, head chef at Bless Hotel Ibiza.

Llum Pool Premier Club, the poolside restaurant, is the hotel’s most family-friendly space. There, either in the dining room with its aquamarine walls and pillars reminiscent of the colour of the sea, or on the terrace, Gutiérrez offers a menu with deep Mediterranean roots and no shortage of fresh dishes, rice, salads, fish and other traditional local specialities, all based on seasonal, local produce and ingredients.

Epic Infinity Lounge, on the hotel’s rooftop, is without a doubt Bless Ibiza’s most sophisticated and chic space. Here, the star of the show is an impressive infinity pool, which gives the impression that it pours its water directly into the Mediterranean, surrounded by Bali beds. By day, the restaurant serves, at the Bali beds themselves or on the terrace, a light, fresh and fun menu with a very Mediterranean flavour designed by Gutiérrez, where fresh, healthy dishes and fish are the order of the day.

At night, however, everything changes. The exclusive yet relaxed atmosphere, set to the rhythm of gentle ambient music and the occasional live jazz band, is rounded off by an exceptional Mexican-Nikkei menu with nods to the cuisines of other Latin American countries and even Spanish gastronomy. The evening menu includes the freshest fish cooked on a Josper grill as well as aguachiles, ceviches, tacos and enchiladas and a fantastic lomo saltado, a popular Peruvian dish.

What’s more, during the months of July, August and September, the hotel will be staging a pop up on the terrace next to Vertmut&Bar, called Tris Volevo, where they plan to serve an informal menu based on Italian dishes and produce and fresh, simple creations.

Finally, in terms of gastronomy, one cannot fail to mention the exceptional breakfast that hotel guests are treated to, which, in addition to an impressive buffet, offers diners the option of eating à la carte, a rare feature in a hotel of its size.
