Gee van Donselaar is not a man to go unnoticed, his powerful presence catches your attention from the start and he quickly engages you in the huge passion he has for cooking. A truly unique chef, tireless, creative, highly conscious of eating healthily and using top-quality produce. Each dish that is prepared in his kitchen is a genuine work of art, a blending of inspiration, effort and the magic touch that is possessed by only a chosen few.

There is a saying by the French gourmet Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin that Gee has adopted: “The discovery of a new dish does more for the happiness of the human race than the discovery of a star.” And his mission is precisely that: to make people happy.

After studying at cookery and catering schools in his native Holland and Switzerland, Gee van D. embarked on a pilgrimage around the world to immerse himself in the gastronomic culture of each place that he visited. From the street food stalls of Asia to the kitchens of the most prestigious European restaurants. He considers himself self-taught, and his learnings have led him to become a “sensorial alchemist” who carries diners on a journey through time to awaken almost forgotten memories through flavours.

But Gee van Donselaar’s big strength is his facet as a private chef. His prestige and his skill have made him one of the most popular cooks among the island’s most exclusive villas.
