Two languages are spoken at Tapisco: at the table Portuguese merges with Spanish, in a menu of acclaimed dishes from both sides of the border. The restaurant is headed by chef Henrique Sá Pessoa, in partnership with Plateform, and pays homage to Iberian flavours – Spanish tapas and Portuguese delicacies. In fact, the restaurant was named after this art of sharing meals.

Spain was also the source of the vermouth culture, served either straight up or in signature cocktails that are becoming more popular served with meals.

Tapisco has also revived the previously lost tradition of eating at the counter, now applauded by clients who like to see the food preparation process close up.
