Restaurant El Portalón Eivissa’s modern ibizan and mediterranean concept menu is designed around local seasonal produce.
Much of the produce is grown at sister farm, Can Riero organics, San Lorenzo.
Strong focus is also placed on sourcing from Ibiza’s local growers, fisherman and artisan producers.
The menu created by executive chef Filippo Alberi, head chef, Massimo Arienti and Anne Sijmonsbergen, co-owner and author of ‘Eivissa: The Eivissa Cookbook’, centers around traditional ibizan, catalan, spanish and mediterranean dishes made modern.
Dishes such as sobrasada and spinach stuffed squid with romesco, squid ink toile and sea foam and zebra ravioli of mediterranean lobster, shrimp, stracciatella and suquet de peix illustrate their exciting and unique approach.
El Portalon, located in the heart of Dalt Vila, Ibiza’s unesco world heritage site, is set on the ground floor of a historic palacio. The large terrace and Antique interiors are sympathetically restored and decorated to incorporate traditional rustic ibicencan charm alongside contemporary minimal twists.
