"We're thrilled to receive a Michelin star the same year we open doors. It's an important recognition of the work we're doing. Encanto offers vegetarian haute cuisine and is unique place in Lisbon. At Encanto, all is thought and executed with great detail and attention, from the choice of ingredients to dish creation, to plating, service and atmosphere. The Michelin star is a very prestigious award internationally. It reinforces, even more, the presence of Lisbon and Portugal on the map of gastronomic routes, which makes us very proud", said José Avillez.

"I'm grateful to the Michelin Guide and all of Encanto's extraordinary team, particularly Diogo Formiga, the chef.  His background in Marine Biology and great respect for Nature have added much value to this project. I'd also like to thank the maître, Francisco Cunha, truly a master in the art of hosting", he added.

At Largo de São Carlos, in Lisbon, ENCANTO is an enchanted place for haute cuisine where vegetables are the stars. With a 100% vegetarian unique tasting menu with about 12 moments, ENCANTO praises the work of small or local farmers and is a stage for seasonal products.
